We're a volunteer-run charity working across Bristol, providing the everyday essentials that children in hardship go without.
No salaries. No offices. No overheads.
Every trustee and volunteer gives their time for free, so the pound you give is spent on a bed, a washing machine or school shoes — not on running the charity. We've worked this way for nearly fifty years.
What your donation could buy
Applications come to us from professionals working with the family. We buy the items ourselves and arrange delivery, usually within days.
A full set of bedding, so a child isn't sleeping under a coat.
A winter coat and a pair of school shoes that actually fit.
Clothes for a child who has left home in an emergency with nothing.
A bed and a new mattress — for many children, their first.

How your money reaches a child
A professional applies
Social workers, teachers, health visitors and support workers apply to us on behalf of a child who is going without. They know the family, so they know exactly what is needed.
We buy what's needed
Trustees review each application and buy the items themselves — a bed, bedding, a cooker, a washing machine, clothing, school uniform.
It reaches the child
Items are delivered straight to the child's home, or given to the professional to deliver to the child.

Add 25% at no cost to you
If you're a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets us claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give. A £25 donation becomes £31.25 — enough to add a pair of school shoes to a winter coat.
